You know I think I have the best fiance in the world. He is truly the funniest man I know and I am so honored to call him my husband. I just wanted you all to see my boy. We were just goofing around the other day when we went to a conference in Muar, Johor, Malaysia. Yes, it is a small town in the middle of no where, but the training we received was awesome. God did great things in our hearts and spirits while at this conference. It is called GEAR Training and I can honestly say that this man, Dr. Jonathon David, was speaking just like Pastor Steve. I kept telling Amos this is what I learned for 4 years while going to WRC. There are many voices in the world, speaking the same message, for God does not waste the truth on just one city or just one church, his word will get out and in this small town in Malaysia I heard the truth like I used to hear in KC and I was shouting, I was jumping, I was praising, my hands were raised, our voices were loud and I felt like I was back home at WRC. But when I would open my eyes the pianist was Malaysian, the Pastor speaking was Malaysian Indian, the crowds were colorful and I knew I was not in Kansas, but oh the presence and power of God and the word, was just as real. He talked about Apostolic Networks, fighting the religous spirits, knowing who we are in Christ, I have 16 pages of notes, and I can honestly say, he was confirming what I learned in Revival at WRC. Oh how good is our God. He does not leave us without a voice crying in the wilderness prepare ye the way of the Lord. It was a great time. God moved, my spirit was rejuvianted, my God was good, my fiance was fired up and we heard once again that we are called to soldiers, not social workers as Pastors. Oh my friends in KC. God is on the move all around the world. There are many voices sharing the truth of the gospel. Men and women of God are speaking the truth, and it sounds just like home. I needed this for I am missing you all so much, yeah Pastor Steve is still my favorite, yes I truly miss Pastor Kathy and her preaching antics, oh no one is like my friend Pastor Dustin, but let me reassure you, God is big and God is good and he confirmed to me this week that his word will not return void, and his voice will not be limited by time and space. The truth of revival was being preached in Muar this week and I was blessed by the teachings and made me so thankful that I came through revival, that I learned these things many years ago, but more than that the fire on the altar of my soul has not gone out. I am a soldier, and I am called to war. What about you? | | |

| Okay, so I know it has been a long time since I have updated, but I am very busy with ministry here in KL and planning a wedding, so I hope you can appreciate, I do think of you all and read all your entries. But realized it is time to send an update. So, here is what is going on in my world. Life in KL is great, but very busy. We have 80 women active in the Daniel Study for the bible study. We have opened up 2 more groups, so we have Monday afternoon, Wednesday morning, Wednesday night and Thursday morning. It is awesome what God is doing in this ministry, truly the revolution has begun among the women. The youth group is off and running again, we have 20 active every Sunday for Sunday school, as we have found the Saturday night thing was not working, but Sunday is working great. I am preaching out of the book called the Bondage Breaker by Neil Anderson. Our banner statements each week is John 8:32 "you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!" and Life is a battleground, not a playground, so I am seeking to train soldiers for war! They are responding very well and God is moving in the midst of us. We also are doing a monthly outreach program called the Icebox and this is where the youth invite their friends to their home and we meet to discuss a topic, last month it was What were you born for? It brought out 8 unbelievers and then 4 from our youth group, perfect size and so much fun. I got to share the gospel and the youth led the whole thing. Very fun and now their friends are wanting it more often and look forward to the one that is coming this Sunday, of which we will discuss What is on the other side of this life? Childrens ministry is on the move, we did our first Childrens church last Sunday and it went so well. We had 3 adults helping, the 20 youth and about 15 younger kids, it was so fun, we played musical chairs, sang some fun worship songs about Jesus being our superhero and then I did a childrens sermon about Daniel in the Lions Den. It was great, everyone is buzzing about it. Singles is in transition. We have solid people involved and are wanting to grow up spiritually. I think that is it on the ministry front. On a personal level I am doing really well, just making all the preperations I need to for the wedding. Went and got on birth control today, got the certificate of singleness yesterday, so can marry legally now, will book our ticket to America when we are registered and yeah all is going so well. God has his hand all over this. In my next email I will share with you how God is totally paying for this whole wedding and honeymoon, of which we are going to Bali for. It is all God! He is so good. So, yeah, I am great, busy, but really really good. My roommate will dye my hair tonight for the grey is very obvious and Amos is starting to question my age. Hee Hee. I love hearing from you, so write when you have time and know I miss you dearly my friends. Lisa | | |
| So, if my understanding of friendship is determined by how often I use my Xanga account to communicate what is going on in my life, then I am not a good friend to you all on Xanga that want to hear from me what is going on. Please forgive me for not updating you all on the very important changes that are happening in my life. First of all if you have not already heard, I am engaged! Amos proposed on November 12 in a park, it was so awesome, I cried as you can well imagine. Here is a picture of the ring.
A week after getting engaged, we did some engagement photos, so wanted to show you a couple of those as well, since for me a picture speaks a thousand words and that is how many it would take to share my joy and exctitement at this point in what I am feeling.
We did these pictures at KLCC park, which is where the only twin towers in the world exist, it is a very romantic park and this is where we went on our first date, before we were dating, does that make sense? All that to say, I am blessed, and we had fun doing the photo shoot.
So there it is, we are planning on getting married in April, possibly the 28th in Missouri at my dad's church in St. Joseph, the details are yet to be confirmed, but that is the tenative plan. So, you all can meet him then and we will go from there for our honeymoon before coming back here to work at my church the Bridge. I am sure you will have many more questions, but wanted to start the conversation, for my life has officially changed forever, again. God is good....all the time....he put a song of praise in this heart of mine....God is good.....all the time....through the darkest night, his light will shine, God is good, He's so good, all the time! | Here is part two of the mission trip update for all you who prayed. Thank you so much for your support, we have 24 hour prayer going on for our team and we noticed it in so many ways, thank you for your prayers, they worked. Sunday we arrived in the remote village in the jungles of Malaysia. We had a resident pharmacist on the team, so he had us all get shots for Hep A and Tetanus, then we were on Malaria pills for safety, so we were protected that way. When we arrived the church welcomed us with traditional singing and dancing, it was wonderful. The only electricity is by a small generator, so this area was quite primitive and a trip I will never forget. Monday morning we did childrens ministry all day long, with a medical clinic and hair salon that we erected during the afternoon sessions. It was fun to watch the people all come to the church for medical check ups and a new look with nails, make up and hair. They loved it so much, they decided I needed a make over and so they sat me in the chair and applied make up and did my hair, it was so nice to pampered. Monday night I preached on Jesus as a Servant and we washed the feet of all the people in the village. It was a powerful night for us as a team. Tuesday we did childrens ministry all day again, with football, coloring and various games along with lots of action songs singing. It was great to see the children smile. Then while the children were being attended to, a team of us did a worship seminar all day for the people from surrounding villages that heard we were in town. It was a sponataneous conference on worship and we were the main speakers, so I assembled my worship team and quickly trained them how to lead a seminar, and they did skits, discussions and sharing on various aspects of worship. I was so proud of them. Tuesday night we had a praise festival and the band from the local church in Gopeng came up and brought a big generator, so we had a lot of sound and danced, danced, danced like never before in praise before the Lord. It was one of the most powerful praise times I have ever experienced in my life. The ironic thing was, it was the night of a major Muslim Holiday called Hari Raya, so the presence of God was stong and the enemy was defeated in dance. What a great God we serve. Wednesday, more childrens ministry, but today they went on a field trip and learned Bahasa words for different things like plants, animals and other things in the jungle like leeches. Hee Hee. while the team was doing that, I was hanging out with the women sitting in their huts, which is their kitchen and the sent their 65 year old dad up a tree to get us coconuts to drink, he climbed it like a 16 year old kid or a teenage monkey, I was thoroghly impressed to say the very least. I learned about polygamy that has brought much hurt to a woman in the village and how death has taken many children in the village due to no health care. It was a great day, but a sad day as I realized that the enemy is no respector of persons. Wednesday night I spoke on Jesus as the Baptizer in the Holy Ghost and Fire. The presence of God filled the church that night and people were slain in the spirit all over the room. God was on the move. Thursday morning, we met at the river for water baptism. I baptized 30 people in water and it was truly the highlight of my trip. After this we played in the river with the people for a while then I had an appointment in another village to do a house cleansing as the children cannot sleep at night and they see evil spirits. So, I went over there with a male friend of mine and a translator and we prayed for that family and anointed the house with oil. The next day they said it was the most peaceful night sleep they had as a family and thanked us tremendously. We in turn gave praise to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Then that afternoon it was more time with the children, it was raining so I played soccer in the church with the children, they kicked my butt, but we had a great time. Then on Thursday night we talked about Jesus as Healer and we prayed for healing for many of the people. God was moving in power again and the team laid hands on the people, anointed them with oil and excercised faith for healing. It was great to see the great physician at work. Finally it is Friday and we are packing to leave. The whole village came out to send us on our way. It was a tearful goodbye to say the very least, but we needed to come home. After a 45 minute hike through a lush jungle, which is very beautiful, we arrived at our cars and not 5 minutes out, I got a call from Amos saying he missed me and was glad I was on my way home and that I was safe. What a great week. God moved, people were healed, saved and delivered, and I am never going to be the same again. Thank you Jesus for you are a mighty, mighty savior. And thank you all for your love and support, I could not have done this trip without knowing you had my back. I will send pictures soon. The adventures never cease as long as we keep saying yes to Jesus. Lisa
